Dr. Nancy DiBenedetto graduated from the National University of Health Sciences with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in the April of 2001. The National University of Health Sciences curriculum consists of ten trimesters. The first seven and a half of these trimesters consists of eight lecture hours, ten laboratory hours, seven group discussion hours, and an unlimited number of hours of self-study learning issues per week. The last two and a half trimesters are made up of an internship at one of the University's local clinics treating patients - Dr. DiBenedetto completed her internship at the University's Chicago clinic.
Her studies included: gross anatomy, histology, embryology, normal radiographic anatomy, pathology, biomechanics, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, endocrinology, nutrition, physiological therapeutics, neurology, physiology, ethics, philosophy, business, public health, research, jurisprudence, chiropractic manipulative therapeutics, x-ray positioning, risk management, communication, and diagnosis.
Overall, Dr. DiBenedetto logged 4,834 hours of lecture, laboratory, discussion, and internship with 245.5 total credits. Further, the State of Illinois requires a minimum of 25 continuing education credits per year to maintain a state license. In an effort to give something back to the community, Dr. DiBenedetto has been teaching biology courses at a local community college.
Tara Duque attended The Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy, located in Chicago. The curriculum consisted of 700 hours and included both classroom study and intensive refinement of skills. Tara is an Illinois licensed massage therapist.
Over the past four years, Tara has refined her deep tissue and myofascial release techniques. Over that same time span, she has also been an active member of the Associated Bodyword and Massage Professionals. Further, Tara is nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
She skillfully performs Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissue, sports, chair, and pre-natal massages. Tara consistently adds new techniques to her already vast array of massage therapy skills and is always willing to put in the extra effort to ensure clients experience the ultimate in relaxation.
Jimmy Rainbolt also attended The Soma Institute, located in Chicago, and is licensed by the State of Illinois as a massage therapist. Jimmy is nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
He is extremely skilled in sports massage, as well as neuromuscular and aruyvedic techniques. Jimmy is always looking to add new techniques to his current set of massage therapy skills.
