What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a technique that is used to treat a multitude of
conditions and produce regional anesthesia through the use of
fine, disposable needles through the skin to specific points.
Acupuncture utilizes various lengths of needles along with
instruments such as an electric stimulator unit to attain the
desired results.
What are the requirements to practice
acupuncture?
Dr. Nancy DiBenedetto is certified to practice acupuncture under her
Chiropractic Physician license in the state of Illinois.   She has
completed over 150 hours of post-graduate acupuncture.   Dr. Nancy is currently working toward her diplomate degree in acupuncture.
Does it hurt?
While some people do say that they feel a little pinch,
acupuncture is, by nature, a holistic healing
method that is meant to relax and comfort
the patient.   Having been around for thousands of years, it is
believed that acupuncture can cure a slew of conditions.   We
believe it is the perfect complement to chiropractic care due to
its natural healing powers.
